thursday...

well, last night the boys and i went to the park after i picked them up from nana/pawpaw's. i did a little jogging and some workouts i had printed from my bootcamp emails... jacob was a little hesitant about having to be locked down in a stroller- but i let them loose when i stopped to do dips/push ups, squats, etc.. and they joined me on the pushups and squats, it was SO cute watching jacob try to do it... and justin thought he was doing a great pushup- 'look mom, this is how i do them- my legs straight like this and my arms up' (meanwhile, he is also laying on his belly - just has his torso up with his arms.. but i told him good job for the effort! :)

then i let them play on the playground- justin played with a little boy who was there- and they all three played in the sand, while i finished my workout on the cement next to them... of course jacob wasnt too happy when it was time to go home, but he got over it.

after jacob went to bed, justin and i did a few puzzles, and of course he watched daddy play his game..the girls hung out with us a little (watching american idol) and brooke recited her speech for drama class today- brit joined in on the jewelry making- she made herself a necklace, and her friend, lizzie a bracelet.. i got a bunch of new beads the other day at hobby lobby bc this week a bunch of their beads were all 50% off. the boys wrestled before bedtime- jacob was chasing justin with a big foam chair and pushing him down- like i said, justin better watch out! jacob can hold his own! then, justin attempted to sit in the chair with jacob, and jacob was too funny, kept repeating 'no USTIN, NOOOOOO NO USTIN, NOOO' (i will have to get it on video, it is so funny when he gets mad at justin and tells him no!)... then on to hide n seek ' hide momma, IDE, IDE mommy... both boys like to hide under beds, under covers... actually justin's morning ritual is to run into nana's house and hide in 'his' room- until nana comes and says 'am i going to have to eat justins waffles, he is not hear today' and then he jumps out and says 'nooooooo' and she says 'oh there you are!' you would think it would get old, but EVERY day, he does it!

ok, back to last night- justin always says 'i love you more than daddy, but really i love you all the same' (he tells pawpaw he loves him bigger than walmart, AND he loves him 90 hundred 20 eighty.. (????). anyway- he says 'no really, i love kevin more than you' and i got sad- so he says ' just kidding i love you and daddy and kevin all the same' lol (kevin is his best bud).

...then, this morning i say 'justin, come here (as we walk to nana's door) and he says 'what?' and i said 'i need to tell you something 'what?' 'i love you' and he says (in a sarcastic tone) 'I KNOW MOM, you tell me that every day!!!' lol. what a little turd... just kiddin.

ps- a few words jacob is saying daily : motorcycle (co-cu-cye-cle), brooke 'cooke', brittany 'nitnee', tv 'vveee', ROCK = COCK! :), car 'cack' seems as though he likes the C sound, huh? i am always saying 'carrrrrrrrrr RRRRR' and he says 'cack', nooooo, ustee (justin)- alot more- i need to make a list- none are too clear though! oh well! still cute :)

happy hump day

for those 'old' people reading this- hump day is not something nasty, it's wednesday- mid week- hump day... :)

weekend was good- friday evening justin go to go eat pizza and play across the street at baron's house- he looked fwd to it all week (they invited him on wed, when baron came to play). Saturday morning- jeremy worked ALL DAY- he went left around 6:30am and got home at 12am midnight.... lots of overtime! the girls watched the boys (and later went to regina's for the weekend for montana's birthday (their half sister)..while i did my 5 mile run.  It was a park to park run from minute maid park (where the astros play) to hermann park (near the houston zoo). my goal was 48 minutes, and i came in at 47:48 (9:34 mile pace)... I am doing another one march 29- hoping for 46 minutes... it was fun- a friend and her husband did it with me and also another friend from wayyyyyy back ran with me- she has done half marathons and is trying to convince me to do one with her in april- um is she crazy? my other friend is also going to do the half marathon- but not til next january. half marathons are not something i have ever wanted to do- EVER...i like triathlons better .

anyway- got home, showered and took off to a bday party with the boys- at jumpin jungle (where justin had his party- a bounce place).. we were a little late but the boys still had fun. after that, we stopped at the park in our neighborhood because as we drove by, jacob said 'get down- get down' and i said, what, you want to go to the park ? and he shook his head yes, and said 'play' and justin chimed in... so, it was a beautiful day, so i figured why not- late naps arent that bad... the boys and i played for about an hour... justin even made a new friend. after naps, we played out back for a while..

sat night, a few friends and i went to the galleria to eat at the cheesecake factory- YUM! jeremy was supposed to be home by the time i left, but wasnt- so nana and pawpaw watched the boys- ended up keeping them over night since jeremy never came home.

sunday, we played outside ALOT! i bought justin a kite- and he wanted daddy to help him fly it- baron was outside and wanted to see, too-





well, somehow, it turned into daddy and baron's daddy flying the kite, and justin and baron disappeared inside the house! jacob still had fun watching..





for lunch, we went to jake's grill - yummy grilled cheese- but my small camera battery was dead, so no pics- justin and jeremy walked over to the 'island' as justin called it and thought it was super cool to see tadpoles and turtles and told me that he knows how to skip rocks now.. he was so proud.

monday- nothing exciting happened that i can remember- tuesday- even more nothing- brooke had cheer, i went to dream dinners for a sneak peak and signed up for some meals- hopefully my picky family (and self) will like the meals i chose..i go next thurs to make them.

cute story- in the car yesterday,justin says: 'you know why nana only goes to the gym on tuesday and thursday when i am not at school?

me: why?

justin: because, sometimes when they go, jacob puts his cup down, his sippy cup, and then someone else picks it up and drinks out of it'

me: 'oh? so if you go, you make sure noone takes it?'

justin: 'yes, one boy tried to drink it and i told him it wasnt his'

me: 'wow, you are a good big brother- thank you- do you protect him if other kids try to hit him?'

justin:' yes, i tell them no! that is my baby brother'

awwwwwwwwww so cute- except looks like baby brother is doing just fine being 'tough' but at least he's giving hugs, right? :)

nothing too exciting to report today... last night, the in laws cooked dinner (thanks) then, we went home where i bathed the boys... then, justin and i went to TCBY with some moms from my fitness group- jeremy had his kuk sul won class- brittany was grounded, and brooke was brooke :) brooke is into playing jeremys game now, too- as well as justin.. great! after we got home, justin and brittany painted some plaster things i got at walmart that morning.. didnt take any pics though....

cute story- nana said that pawpaw and justin snuck out to go to kroger to get food (leaving jacob behind)... well she said the entire time they were gone, jacob was running around the house saying

'ust-nnn, are you?' (justin, where are you) and 'pawpaw are you?' so cute- he is talking more and more ... this morning i gave him animal crackers- and he tried to repeat it- n-mul cuker... thats about what it sounded like...

tonight, nothing going on except i'm going to try to go to bed early since i have the 5 mile run in the morning... gina and ward are picking me up bright and early!

oh, and exciting news- my friend had her baby girl today- i am going to visit them hopefully sunday depending on jeremy's work schedule. tonight, justin was invited to baron's for pizza- he is very excited!

What lovely weather we're having

monday night i had to do my own bootcamp bc there is no boot camp this week, i am growing bigger by the minute! tues- baron came over and the boys played for about an hour- yesterday i left work early to drive in the rain and pick brooke up from school, and then turn around and drive all the way back right near work in the rain for a 15 minute photo session- only to turn back around and drive back to pearland -in the rain and traffic- fun few hours that was!

This summer, at one of Brooke's home games, a lady came to do short video clips of some football players, parents and kids.. she was casting for a conoco commercial. She talked to several people- including me, jeremy, brooke and justin. She ended up calling me and justin back to her studio- where she did a short interview to submit to the producers. We both went to callbacks, and funny thing is that i was the one they wanted for the shoot- i figured i would be the LEAST likely bc i am definitely camera shy when speaking.. and as you know, i never fix my hair or get all dolled up. anyway- i was in a conoco commercial, but one scene i was driving a minivan to a pump, getting out and pumping (so my back is to the camera, cant tell it's me) and in the other, we were at a football field- and i was a football parent, standing on the sideline cheering- but the girl with the speaking part was in a lawnchair really close to the ground- so i think all you could see of me is my legs/arm motions- not my face... so i didnt get to have my hair and makeup done :( oh well. i did get paid $175 though :)

anyways, i guess the lady kept our stuff on file, because on monday, she called and asked if brooke would be interested in doing a print ad for citgo (i think?) they needed 8-11 year old girls- she asked if brooke still looked the same and could pass for 11- i said ??? she said to call her wed morning and see if they still needed people- bc she had already submitted some... so, i called and they did- and she said 'feel free to bring a friend- so we can get their personalities interacting (even though it is print ad)... so, i called jennifer to see if summer and kayla wanted to go- they are actually the right age and cute girls... anyway, we all rode together- the girls were in shorts and shirts, to fit the soccer player role- and all they had to do was put their hands up and yell 'yay' for a picture- and then a pic of them with their 'number' and then a pic of the 3 of them hugging/high 5's etc. the girls had fun- i guess we will hear in a few days if they want to call them back... the actual shoot is march 6. too bad i didnt have my camera with me yesterday- i always have it!

this morning, jakey was a little on the grumpy side- and then he saw his spiderman umbrella (that aunt marsha gave him) outside when we were leaving and HAD to have it with him in the car- wouldnt let me put it down and threw a fit even when i had to take it out of his hand to get the buckle over his arm.. silly boy!







this afternoon, i am going to pick up my packet for my run this saturday- a few friends and i are running the park to park 5 mile run- it is from minute maid park to hermann park... we shall see if i make it the whole way running! i have only run further ONE time- for the 10k i did back before jacob was born...

finally an update...

Thursday night, we went to the jonas brother's concert- was pretty good, actually! 2 of my friends went with their kids- so i stopped by to say hi- the girls ended up sitting with lizzie, and i sat ALONE- LOSER , ha! because i thought it would be nice to let them invite a friend, bc they were releasing more floor seats the day of the show- well, brittany got lizzie's parents permission (and aggreement to pay me the $60 for her ticket) and then brooke couldnt find anyone- and i didnt want to buy 2 seats, just so i could sit with brooke- so i bought a single seat for myself... funny! here's a pic of the 3 musketeers near the 'fake' jonas brother's bus.



we got home late, and then my friend had gone to a lame singles event and wanted to go out for a few drinks, so i met her out at sam's boat and had a drinks... man was i tired on friday! but it was fun..

then, friday, did nothing besides work- well, nothing that i can remember so must not have been exciting, right? jeremy did sign justin up for t-ball- and so did baron's mom. justin is excited about it this year. it starts in 2 fridays.

saturday, it was supposed to be horrible weather- but it was not bad the first half of the day- so the boys played outside with baron and his cousin, troy (baron lives across the street). Jacob wants SO MUCH to be as big as his brother- and wants to do everything justin does..poor thing. and he LOVES to be outside- cries a river when he has to come in- i dont blame him- i hate to be inside, too!



and jacob often forgets (so does justin) to LOOK where you are going!







saturday afternoon, jeremy, justin, brit and brooke went to the movies to see Jumpers- they all liked it. i stayed home with GRUMPY jacob- he has a cold and he did NOT want to nap- he cried and cried and cried some more before i finally had to let him cry himself to sleep. i HATE doing that! After that, brooke and i went to my friend's house to make jewelry- she taught us how to correctly make the clasps- i had attempted in the past (for bridesmaids jewelry) but i wasnt doing it right- when we left, we went back to michaels to buy more beads... here are some i made.. (but the silver one is the name bracelet my friend made me a while back)..



sunday, jeremy, the boys and I went to HEB- the boys like it bc they sit in the 'car' cart- and each get a balloon- we spent too much money, and i am sure will still hear everyone complain 'there is nothing to eat'. that's just how it goes. then the boys took naps, and after that, we went to a friends for a crawfish broil- YUCK! she had some GREAT food- and had 2 babysitters upstairs to watch the kids- jacob and justin were up there for about an hour, and then jacob decided he'd had enough- so they brought him down to us. anyway, i found out that they shake the crawfish up in salt until they puke and poop themselves- before the broil them- interestingly gross! i am not a seafood eater- but the girls and jeremy seemed to like them...



and then, last night- justin and brittany did some painting- and brooke made more jewelry, jeremy played his game that he never stops playing EVER. and justin asks daddy 'i want to watch you play your game, daddy' so that makes jeremy have a BIG smile on his face- telling me 'what? he asked me to play!' dad's best friend!

v-day continued

well- for valentines i got the girls tickets to see the jonas brothers! we are on the floor- second section, row 8. should be fun, and they were surprised (i think) bc they had been asking me to get tickets, and i hadnt gotten them til this week, but i still told them i was 'looking' for good ones and hadnt purchased them...told them this morning. the boys got a monster jam truck (see picture) and justin a monster truck t-shirt.



this evening- i am going to the in laws to eat pizza (heart shaped pizza) with the kids, and then they are keeping the boys until jeremy gets out of his class at 7... meanwhile, the girls and i are leaving for the jonas brothers.

jeremy and i dont celebrate valentines day bc i was usually single, and decided it was more a day to make single people depressed than to make 'taken' people feel loved.. so i cannot go back on my word and be a hypocrite! i am still bitter! ha! but jeremy thinks it's pretty cool he never has to get me anything :) what a great wife i am!

proud to say that today is progress report day. brittany (9th grade) did great- she got: Algebra - 99, English - 94, Biology- 99, health - 100, drill team (doesnt really count ha!)- 100, spanish - 83, and world geography - 89 (but will be adjusted to be higher, had a missing assignment that wasnt really missing- teacher found it in student aides pile of papers)... yay for brit! brooke is not home yet, so i am not sure of hers, but from what i can tell on k12planet, we will be proud of her, too.

tuesday

my poor other baby had his 4 year check up today. this time, kay took him. she told him he didnt need shots, and we didnt even tell him about the apointment until they were on the way there- bc we didnt want him worrying about it... well, turned out he needed FOUR shots- 2 on each thigh... he was NOT happy, and she said jacob cried all the way down the hall (was traumatized from yesterday's shots) and then again when he saw the nurse- and hid in the corner while she gave justin his shots... kay said i owe her big time! lol. poor justin :( anyway- good news is no more shots at checkups until he is 11 years old! yay! he is 39 lbs (75%), 40 1/4 inches tall (55%), and BMI is 75%. hearing and eye test were fine... he was so upset that he didnt even want to go get a special lunch or treat for being so brave :( all he wanted to do was go home to nana's house.

last night we finally had a home cooked meal- chicken (ok that was just thrown in the oven), real mashed potatoes, and green beans- and jeremy was the cook :) tonight, we are having the chicken n dumplings we were gonna have last night - they werent ready last night. also, gotta write justin's valentines for his class party tomorrow- and brit wants to give some too- i guess it's cool again in high school? strange! actually she said she is too poor to buy carnations. ha! brooke has cheer practice in pasadena, but still not my night to drive, luckily! and jeremy has kuk sul won... he missed last week so he better go! boot camp is on 'break' this week, so i am being lazy. good week to be 'off' though because there were horrible storms today!

back to monday

the weekend was good- great weather! friday after work, i took the boys to the silverlake park- they played in the sand and on the playground- then we came home and made some chocolate covered strawberries... yum!

saturday, went to fitcamp- worked my butt off (i wish), took the boys to get a haircut at cool cuts, and then we went to lunch at jake's grill so we could eat outside and the boys could play... we played outside alot of the day, and justin helped me wash the car.











Justin is such a good big brother- he took jacob for a run/ride in his car... look at them go!



The girls went to reginas. sunday, we were going to have a playdate with caleb, but justin woke up with a deep hoarse cough- thought he had whooping cough, but strangely, it kinda went away as the day went on- maybe it was a fluke? we put together the little tikes set that i got off craigslist and the boys played on that a bit- got pictures taken with care- cant wait to see them! i will post a few when she gives them to me- we took them at lake silverlake.
then, went to the something party- it was fun- had the best drink that we named the 'something drink' which consists of x-rated (liquor) and sprite... doesnt even taste alcoholic (which could be dangerous :) ) we had fun hanging out and laughing - so it was successful, as the hostess gave use rules, and one was that she would NOT have a lame party- lol.

this morning, i worked from home because kay/jerry spent the night at the casino last night (had a free night) for vday. i took justin to school, and then jacob to his 18 month apointment (even though he is now almost 19 months).. he got 3 shots and cried his little heart out :( i hate that!!!!!!!! he is growing well, and is on track for everything- weight is 29 lbs 12 oz (95%), height is 34 1/2 inches (93%), and head 19 3/4 inches (90%). one thing i asked about was his eyes, bc he always points to his eyes and says 'eye' and whines and you ask if his eye hurts and he nods, yes. not sure? dr turned the light off and shined a light in his eyes, and said everything looked normal, and that maybe he has dry eyes? he is such a sweet boy. he is silly- he stuffs his cheeks with food- and stores it in there like a chipmunk- and then you will ask him to open his mouth and piles of food fall out- we keep telling him 'jacob, you have to take BITES!' one of the funniest things he does now is that he says 'oh man' but with alot of expression 'oh maaaaaaaannnnnn' or 'oh sHucks (which sometimes sounds like oh sh**'). i have tried to get it on video- but not succeeded yet.

some of the words he says are: momma, brittany (nitnee), justin (ustin), daddy, nana, pawpaw, glasses (lasses), car (cun), truck (tuck), outside (t-see), cup (cock- lol, maybe he is saying coke?), bite, ball, bath, stormie (tomy), night night, bye bye, play, slide (lide), upstairs (uptair), baby, zebra (zeba), dog, cat, help (bup), eye, nose, sock, thank you (he even says it without us telling him to say it now, so sweet- tank eww), you're welcome (rrr elc-m), cookie, and more- i cant think of it all.

this weekend is surprisingly not that busy for us-

brittany is going to her high school play, and i might be going to dinner tonight- but if not, i kinda want to stay home and play outside with the boys on the little tikes thing i got off craigslist- or of course, there's justin's motorcyle, bikes skateboards, and more! jacob gets really really jealous that he cant do everything his big brother does (see pics)..







should be fun- it is beautiful outside- and should be all weekend- high in the 70's, low in the 50's .

maybe the boys will also take a walk:





and jacob might practice his driving again..ha!



tomorrow i am going to bootcamp- and brit is babysitting during bootcamp for my friend, eden's sweet babygirl.. she complains of being poor..so this is good.. then i dont have any plans all day! it's amazing- that never happens! i might go to the ymca to sign justin up for tball. sunday, my friend, who is a great photographer, is going to take pictures of the kids - mainly justin- for his 4 year pictures. and then, going to a 'something party' - ever heard of www.somethingstore.com? it is a brilliant idea for someone wanting to make money of nothing! it is $10 per something! and you have no clue what you're getting...i guess people like it bc the suspense. so, we are doing it white elephant style- that way you arent necessarily stuck with your something if it sucks! should be fun- food, and drinks- but they seem to forget i have to WORK the next day! speaking of work... back to work!
