busy busy busy

actually- the weekend wasnt too busy- which was great for a change... but lets see... last thursday my poor puppy got attacked by some boxers... she went under a hole in the fence to play- but instead was attacked... luckily jeremy was able to jump the fence and save her before it was too late... it is a horrific sound to hear your dog squealing/screaming/crying for help and hear the big dogs growling... ugh. anyway- after an ER visit and a day at the vet, and $1400 later, she will be okay- she got lucky and there was no internal bleeding or punctured organs. she still has her staples though, but is back to her old self. the thing that looks like a tooth is a rubber drain they stitched into her over the weekend so that any bleeding /puss would drain out of her and not get infected- they took it out monday. brooke has been helping take great care of stormie- she is at her beck and call!


friday, the boys and i went to an egg hunt at a friend's house- they have a GREAT back yard- a huge deck, and big yard, nice landscaping, a play area with a swingset- a bounce house... fun times! there were confetti eggs which were a hit with everyone.. notice jacob thinks he has to be IN the sandbox...







there was no tball friday which justin was bummed about...

saturday, we actually had nothing to do- it was so nice.. i did some cleaning and searching for my still missing ipod... jeremy took the kids (except jacob) to the movies to see horton hears a who... jacob and i went to kohls and academy to make our new purchase..which of course is a hit... the boys had fun helping dad put it to gether...although jacob lost 11 screws so dad couldnt finish putting it together until the next day after he bought some more at home depot...





of course jacob prefered to play in the box...(so did justin)





sunday, we went to nana and pawpaws house for easter lunch and the kids dyed eggs and had another egg hunt in the back yard... we then went back again for dinner for the leftovers.. the girls went to reginas after lunch.

monday the girls and justin were off school i FINALLY got all the stuff done for the saturn, so i am back to driving it to work- justin sits in a booster seat in it and thinks he is so cool.. this week brittany is trying out for drill team again.. tryouts are friday and clinics are all week.. tuesday i had to drive the carpool across town to pasadena... makes for a looooooooong evening, but i only have to do it once every 3 weeks... jeremy is back in his kuk sul won class, now that his toe healed... and i am going to start boot camp again when the session starts- april 7. we have 3 birthday parties this weekend and tball practice and pictures..

long, tiring weekend/week!

let's see- friday was t-ball, and justin had a blast- unlike last year! he is a great batter- he even hit one poor little boy right where it hurts (know what i mean?)... oops! the second time, the coach told all the kids to move back bc 'he's a good hitter' but that time, he kinda bunted the ball.. still fun! he is working on throwing and catching... jacob kept busy (or should i say kept me busy) playing on the playground... i went straight from t-ball to j's house to set up for the garage sale...

woke up WAY too early for me on any morning, esp on a sat morning- 6:15am- to leave and put up garage sale signs and head over to her house- it started at 7. i only made $91 this time- oh well! then, from there, headed to the store and home to the crawfish fest- which had begun far before i arrived- it was a fun LONG day- people were there til 12:30am.. even after jeremy and i both were asleep! (dont worry, we know the people- and the girls were up to keep the house in order (haahha).. justin decided he wanted to sleep in our room bc it was a weekend and i always tell him that MAYBE on weekend night he can.. well, he woke up from a nightmare i guess and i tried to console him (should have listened to the books that say not to bc they dont realize what's going on and will be startled if you wake them)...well that was the case- he had no idea what was going on and then kept crying so ended up in bed with us, and i CANNOT sleep like that- i need my space... so after my long day, i got no sleep again sat night. woke up bright and early sunday morning for crafts with friends at our house- and finally it was all over and i got to take a nap!

of course then our plumbing broke- water was backing up into the bathtub from the shower upstairs , this was the DAY our homeowners warranty expired- so i quickly re-instated it (i hadnt decided if i wanted to bc we hadnt used it)... and so it didnt expire, and later we put a call in for repair. we had to shower at the in laws sun night. mon morning i worked from home til the plumber came (all he had to do was unclog the pipe outside? he said he didnt find any blockage so not sure what caused it)...

headed to work- then straight from work to the rodeo with the kids- jeremy met me there.. luckily, my freind and her kids went, too- and she drove the girls home from the concert- jeremy and the boys and i left before the concert- i wanted to sleep! tonight, going AGAIN to the rodeo- will my busy days ever stop????? jeremy's work has a suite tonight- free food and drinks.. girls will be watching the boys for us.

Friday!

we have a busy weekend this weekend- crawfish (eww) and beer (eww) for jeremy's bday celebration- and also a garage sale (at a friends).. and then crafts and breakfast at my house on sun morning, too!

this evening is justin's first t=ball practice of the season (ymca) and he has been looking fwd to it this year, unlike last- he is super excited bc his friend is going to be in it with him this year. he kinda has a little cold right now, but he is not complaining! but- i had to snap this picture of him bc he NEVER (ok like 5 time in his 4 years of life once he was past 12 months) falls asleep on a couch, in a car, anywhere- only in bed.. he makes himself stay up.. but the other night, he fell asleep in a chair, watching dad playing a video game, so i had to take a photo- to any normal person, this is not a photo taking opportunity, but for my kid to fall asleep in a chair with noise, needed a pic! (maybe it's bc he was coming down with his cold)



speaking of justin, i forgot to tell a cute story... last weekend when we were blowing bubbles, i noticed him over in the corner talking to himself (or so i thought), so i asked him who he was talking to? and he said.. 'noone' and i thought perhaps he was embarassed and had an imaginary friend-

i said 'were you talking to yourself?

'no'

to an imaginary friend?

'no'

'well who were you talking to?'

'i was talking to god, and asking him to please make the wind stop blowing so hard so i can catch more bubbles'

i thought that was the cutest thing ever...:)

anyway- yesterday, the boys had their school easter egg hunt- nana and i both took them, and they both had a blast- i was glad to finally put some faces to the names of the kids justin talks about, especially his best bud, mitchell, who he always talks about.. they both have the same shoes, and so he always tells me ' i want to wear my shoes like mitchells'.

After the hunt, jacob refused to put his basket down, even when climbing on the playground.. needless to say, he spilled the eggs a few times while climbing- luckily justin was there to help him out..

jacob absolutely loved the easter bunny- he thought he was the funniest thing ever- and he tried so hard to hop just like him! check out this video, i love it! he cracks me up ..

time for an update- happy hump day

this weekend was good- friday night i went to dinner/drinks at yummy los rosas with a friend- and they had a lady who pushed her cart around and made fresh guacamole for you for free (well, she had a tip jar) but it was GOOD! yum!

saturday, jeremy let me sleep in :)  then at noon, i went to dream dinners to make our meals- we have been eating them every day this week and we all love them-  jeremy said we need to do it every month- it is nice to have your meals with all ingredients already in a bag, ready to cook/serve-  saves time and mess and even money probably in the long run..  here's the website if you're interested.  www.dreamdinners.com.

then, i took a jog in the hood- used my forerunner thing jeremy got me for my birthday years ago, but i misplaced it and recently found it- it is cool- it has a gps on it to track how far you've gone, and a virtual partner to tell you if you are ahead of the pace you set, behind, etc.  i set it for a 5k and did that- and then i stopped and did another 1.5 miles alternating 1/4 mile run, walk 30 seconds until i was done... then, we had a birthday party to go to-  the kids got to decorate their own cupcakes and bounce, bounce, bounce!  i even convinced jeremy to go-  anyway, the party was nice, this friend always plans nice parties-  check out the cake!







after the party, i got the kids ready for bed, and then headed over to my friend's house for her to give me a long overdue haircut!  dont have a pic of that- but it's good... then, i met some friends at sam's boat for some interesting people watching-  my gosh, people are FUNNY when they drink.. jeremy and i used to sit at the park in nyc and people watch during my lunch sometimes- bc of course there are interesting people in nyc all day long.. sober!

sunday, we played outside for a bit...







then, we had another birthday party to go to at 1- in the middle of naptime!  the girls were at their mom's and jeremy had poker, so i had to take both boys- but it was at a pottery place, which is not good for jacob, he likes to pick things up!  so, we went to the stores near it, and shopped, and he played at the lego table in carters-

monday- i dont know what i did... ha!  that was SO two days ago...

tuesday, brit went to the rodeo with a friend, and brooke had practice, and jeremy volunteered to drive the carpool (since he cant go to class bc of his toe).. so the boys and i went to the park and they played, and then a friend met me there to workout... we might do the same tonight.
