weekend..

we had a busy weekend- i need another weekend now to relax! justin had tee ball friday night- and then the boys played outside in the culdesac (justin, jacob and baron across the street) until it was too dark..

saturday morning i did sleep in and skip bootcamp- bc it was raining- but it wasnt cancelled after all-

the bunk beds were delivered on saturdy- BUT they were missing some of the hardware, so now there is a half put together bunk bed on justin's floor- that cannot be slept in yet and the other parts wont be delivered until wednesday... frustrating! esp since we waited 2 weeks to have them delivered so it could be on a saturday... justin and daddy had already dismantled justin's old bed..so now he is on the floor on his mattress in the mean time...



justin and jacob and i went to chic fil a- they were supposed to have a carnival with a bounce house and people from the zoo and balloons and face painting- but the carnival was cancelled bc of the rain- but, jingles, the balloon/face painter was still there- we got first in line and justin got his face painted. jacob never ended up getting it bc there was a long line after that and he didnt really care. after we ate, the boys played in the play area- it is pretty clean in there- and they have hand wipes when you leave to de-germ your kiddos.





after that- it was nap time for the boys, and brooke and i went to get a manicure/pedicure with some friends..came home and worked out while justin and baron played outside..

then, justin and jacob and i went to marshalls- trying to find some jackets for my COLD trip to nyc.. jacob was being difficult and ifound nothing- jeremy then took the boys to cici's solo (the girls spent the night at friends houses) and said jacob was a ball of fun there, too- but was cute- he was yelling 'hi daddy' from across cici's when jeremy went back up to the buffet line' he said he kept turning around kinda waving and jacob kept YELLING 'hi daddy' and waving- funny but then he was literally trying to climb over the table to get to the video games so jeremy said he packed them up and left lol. he cant say i didnt warn him about our trip to marshalls! meanwhile, i went to eat mexican with friends and then to sam's boat for a few drinks.. fun time.

sunday morning met my friend for our sunday morning workout at the park- we were both slackers and didnt do as much as normal- but still ok... then jeremy took the boys to their weekly outing across town to get shipley's donuts (he thinks they are better than any of the close donut stores). after that, baron, his mom and the boys and myself went to picasso's place to the open studio to paint, play with playdough, make cards, etc. we were the only ones there so it was fun to have the place to ourselves...



we then went to lenny's to get subs for lunch, where the boys were overtired and were like animals.. justin was worse than normal bc baron was there so they egged each other one- and then jacob did NOT want me to hold him, i'd put him down and tell him to sit on the booth with justin- and told justin to watch him and of course not 3 seconds later jacob is RUNNING to the door laughing and grabbing the door handle like its a gymnastics bar... so i had to pick him up- with him (STRONG) trying to get down the whole time yelling 'get down' and being persistant bc justin was 'down' ... it was not a pretty picture! reminding myself next time to go to a DRIVE-THRU place with tired kids.

after NAPS (i took an hour nap yippee) justin and i went shopping a little and met up with brittany (friend's dad dropped her off) and we did a little more shopping but found nothing i needed except a few groceries.. we got home, and i left to go play tennis with some friends from a fitness group i'm in..that was fun, i never get to play and we have courts in our neighborhood (where we played)... bc whenever i want to play, either we have the boys- or the girls want to go- which means i dont really get to play... but this time was fun- i was on one side and 2 girls on the other- we just hit back and forth, not for score.

after we put the boys in bed, jeremy and i went on our weekly date night - we went to marble slab, but we got there at 9:45 and they close at 10, so we got our ice cream/yogurt, and headed home and just ate it in the car- talk about a SHORT date.. oh well!

the right stuff...

Justin was invited to be in the parade!

The culdesac razer (scooter) parade that is- he felt so important and cool - that the kids (all older) on nana and pawpaw's culdesac asked him if he wanted to be in their parade...the parade just consists of about 10 kids (i am not exaggerating) who all have razers they follow each other in a line riding around the culdesac..but they asked him 'hey justin, you want to be in the parade'  he grinned from ear to ear :)  'YES!'

He has been practicing riding it twice a day at nana's house- and now is super fast and can balance on his one foot- he is so cute to watch, so proud with a big grin on his face- trying his hardest to keep up with the bigger kids- who naturally go faster bc they have longer legs... of course i worry he's gonna eat it- bc he sometimes swerves a little going so fast trying to keep up, and i am sure he will -but in the mean time, i try to relax and not think about that! I will take a video to put on here this weekend- my small camera is broken so i'll have to borrow one of the girls.

Justin has a new obsession with SPINACH of all things! That's right- he wants spinach at every meal. He was disappointed that i didnt have any to put in his lunch today- when i came to pick him up at nana's house yesterday, he was eating spinach leaves in ranch dressing. Apparently Cason at school had some, and his teacher, miss renee had some and let him try it. I finally figured out what his obsession with it is- bc surely it's NOT the taste! (or lack of)... He told me that he is able to go so fast on his razer now because he is eating his spinach and it makes his legs grow and get stronger... he's so cute :)

Our little caterpillar is doing well- it is still in the cocoon. ali's has already turned into a butterfly and it looks really cool!

Last night, we had a fun time playing on the trampoline- brittany can still do her front arial?? i got one pic of that.. the boys had fun they kept saying 'ready set GOOOO' and running towards each other falling down.. over and over and over again... but i love their smiling faces :) They also had fun catching love bugs- or bug loves as jacob calls them- but justin says that it's the mommy carrying the baby , instead of the bugs making love..ha!

so, the boys and i have been listening to...

new kids on the block- 'hangin tough' and 'you've got it (the right stuff)' on our way to and from nana's house...

yep- i never pictured myself and my boys listening to the new kids on the block- what a great day..ha!

i have justin singing oh oh oh oh oh- the right stuff.  both boys request the oh oh song when we get in the car.  brainwashed?  NAH!

brooke brag

brooke made the math honor roll this year-  a HUGE accomplishment for her since math is usually not her strong point!  i guess either it's all finally sinking in, or she has an awesome teacher!  she gets 4 free tickets to the astros game.. :)

update..

friday was tee ball- jeremy braved it out and volunteered to take jacob and justin both, bc i had to drive across town to bring my stuff for a garage sale...and he wanted me back by 9ish so that he and justin, the girls and their friends could go to the movies- while i stayed home with jake. he takes the boys places alone all the time, but usually at tee ball i go- so that jeremy can help 'coach' justin and play catch, etc.. which he couldnt do while keeping jacob from trying to participate in the teeball..lol. poor little jake wants to do EVERYTHING justin does... too bad he's not old enough to be on the team...jeremy was proud of the fact that he tought jacob how to drink out of a water bottle (supposedly) but when he tried to show me, he must have forgotten how :() but- here's the face he's supposed to make to drink it (lol)







so friday night, jeremy and justin went to a 10:20 movie- that's right- my 4 year old went to a move that didnt start until 10:20- brooke and her friend's movie started at 9:45, and brit and her friends started at 10:30. why didnt they just go saturday during the day (jeremy and justin) no clue! anyway- justin and jeremy ate popcorn and hung out until the movie started, and jeremy said justin fell asleep within the first 15 minutes of the movie- (he must have been REALLY tired!)

saturday i had to get up way too early (6:15) to head across town for a garage sale- but i ended up making $135- not too bad- saving that $$ for nyc. after the sale, i drove back across town to pick up brooke and her friend to drive them back across to another part of town for a bday party- and then back home- i was in the car for 2 hours- and irritable! after that, we delivered brooke's futon to a friend, and while we were there, we got a caterpillar- some people in my mom's group have this new obsession with caterpillars (i know, weird).. and a friend had some extra, so we got one- the boys are mesmerized, and the girls were bummed that it built its cocoon before they got home! (brit went to reginas) then, we ate at jakes- all 4 of us (jeremy, me and the boys) got kid's meals..

sunday, met some friends at the park to work out, then justin and i headed to taco cabana with my friend and her daughter, k. jacob and jeremy went to nana/pawpaws so jacob could take a nap and jeremy could install their landscape lighting.. after lunch, justin and i (and friends) went to jcpenny to use my FREE 500 gift card- got a bunch of stuff yippee! after that, we went back to my friends and jeremy met us there to install a ceiling fan for her. justin had a blast playing with her daughter, k, who was on cheer with brooke- all day- he thought she was the coolest thing ever. once we got back to her house, she and justin were listening to music and dancing.. but every time i tried to take a peek, they'd stop.

sunday night was spent doing laundry - what fun. oh, but jeremy and i did go on our weekly date, this time to marble slab-  i got a waffle bowl with frozen yogurt and sprinkles and it was just as good! then we stopped at the grocery store and gas station- what a great date! HA!

jacob has a tummy ache.. :(

my poor jakey is sick-  he had the runs a little sun and mon, but even worse yesterday... he is not lethargic, which is good, he still wants to play.. but his poor bottom is raw!  last night, i drove brooke's carpool to tumble practice, and while i was gone, jeremy bathed the boys and put them to bed-  i got a phone call from brittany about an hour after i left asking where the bathtub cleaner was bc jacob pooped in the bath... meanwhile i hear jacob screaming and crying- and jeremy ended up giving them a shower instead-  i bet he was wishing HE drove the carpool!  before i went to bed (like i do every night), i checked on jacob-  didnt smell any poopies, so went to bed.  This morning, when i went to get him, his room reeked, poor baby- and justin comes upstairs with me to get dressed while i get jacob dressed, he kept coughing like he was going to gag, i told him 'justin GO IN THE HALL and get dressed if the smell bothers you'  just what i need would be a puking and pooping kid! poor jacobs hiney was so raw and even the inside of his leg- red and puffy... he of course screamed bloody murder when i had to wipe him and clean him up and put butt paste on him... poor thing.. i had to carry him with my arm around his knees (instead of butt) bc his bum hurt too bad... and in the carseat on the way to nana's, he sat leaned to one side... he wont sit down bc it hurts :(  his little tummy was grumbling while i changed him, too.  he didnt want me to leave for work from nana's, he was a mama's boy.. i wanted to stay, but my boss is out of town so i have to be here.. but i know nana will take good care of him.

justin told him 'jacob, when mommy wipes your bottom, even though it hurts, you have to try not to cry, okay?'  (bc justin hates jacob to cry, and holds his hands over his ears when he does).

jacob said 'oKAY'

then in the car when jacob started to cry bc he had to sit, justin kept telling him 'jacob, remember what i told you?"  jacob "yeeesss"  justin:" you have to try not to cry, okay?' jacob "yesss"

it was so cute, justin was trying to 'mother' him.. i love my boys!

catching up- this past weekend...

this past weekend was not quite as busy as normal- we had tee ball on friday, then i went out to eat with a friend at los rosas (yum).

then saturday, the boys and i and jennifer went to clear lake to pier one and to rooms to go- where i bought the boys a bunk bed- jeremy has been telling me i need to get one, that jacob is ready (which i dont think so)... well i found a good quality one for a decent price with 0% interest until jan 2009. so, it will be delivered april 26. luckily, jennifer went with me, bc she kept an eye on my monkeys (aka jacob) while i was filling out paperwork... the boys had a blast climbing on every bed there, opening every cabinet and every drawer- jacob tried to commit suicide a few times by thinking about jumping off top bunks.. hence he is NOT ready lol... but, we will just remove the ladder during the day so he cant climb up there. grandpa would have had a major anxiety attack watching the boys climbing on everything, opening everything.. ha! oh, and they had these ball chairs- and jacob kept picking up the ottoman part, which looked like a ball but was flat on the bottom- and trying to throw them, even though we told him it was not a ball... ok, sounds like my kids were terrors, but believe it or not, they were quite tame compared to some of the others who were left climbing UNSUPERVISED! justin and i went to take pics of a friend in the bluebonnets, she took a few of us in return- they turned out ok, but the lighting (of the sun) was not that great..





i like this last one but there is a circle glare from the sun..weird!


sunday, i met a friend from bootcamp at the park, and we worked out, it was beautiful outside!  then, we went to the astros game- well, some of us! the girls were at reginas, jeremy had poker (which he FINALLY won, maybe he's getting his edge back), and Justin and i went to the astros game with D, K, SB, A, and J... moms and the boys- it was fun- oh, and Jennifer came over to sit while jacob napped- i had asked her son, but he had practice, so she said she didnt mind, she could do work- thanks :)

the boys had fun- they had more fun eating the hotdogs and cotton candy and painting with water- luckily, sb was prepared with a backpack full of goodies for the boys. here are a few pics... (thanks again d for taking us, as kev said, "we had a blast! "







after the game, i came home, bathed the boys, and headed to maggianos for moms night out- which only 4 of us went, but it was still a good time- and GOOD FOOD! which is why monday, i started tracking my food again, bc i have been a slacker... except boot camp- i love it! i wish i had it every day.. kicks my butt and makes me feel good... too bad it's only mon and wed!
