still catching up june 9-15

Brittany had Drill team camp june 11-14, she had fun (i think) but was not ready for how much work it was! she told me it was SO hard and she was SO sore and she was not going to be on drill next year- i was like hello you have been there 3 days, you cannot make a decision like that! and so- i think she liked it a little more by the end- i mean i know she loves to wear the shirts that say diamond dancer- and she also got her diamond bracelet on the last day, kinda like an initiation into being a 'diamond' and no longer a rookie (i think). she came home on saturday evening and passed out- she was exhausted!

on the 14th, justin had a birthday party to go to from 9-11, then at 1pm we went to a pearland police department tour- where the kids learned about 911, strangers, etc. after that, we went to a friends to let the kids splash in her pool in the back- they were goofy and had fun.. at 6 we left for a wedding- it was really nice and fancy- we left the boys with brooke and elizabeth in charge (because brittany was still at camp til 8pm and we didnt want to leave brooke in charge of them both awake for 2 hours alone... it worked out fine...oh, and the coolest thing was this university of maryland terrapin ice sculpture- bc the bride played volleyball for umd!

listening to the officer talk about strangers, and 911...

behind the wheel!

jake trying to hang with all those big boys!

the tearrapin ice sculpture 'fear the turtle' (jeremy always makes fun of our mascot/slogan)

on father's day (the 15th), we headed to lunch at texas land and cattle but it was way too crowded, so we ended up at beaudreaux instead- yum! we took treshawn and lizzie along, bc liz had spent the night after babysitting, and we were dropping treshawn and brooke off in santa fe at reginas to spend the night after that- because they had cheer camp for 3 days in dickinson- BFE form pearland. anyway- later that night, elizabeth calls frantically in tears- that her eyes are swollen and she is itching and has hives and cannot breathe- and her dad wasnt answering his phone- and her mom- well, that's another story- so britt and i headed over there- and she was bad! she had hives all over her arm, she couldnt sit still, her eyes were swollen so bad they were almost shut! allergic reaction- but she has eaten shrimp before and never had one- so could have been a spice? but anyway- her dad got home and took her to the ER- they gave her benadryl and she refused to let them give her a shot or draw blood to see what she was allergic to- needless to say, it was freaky and scary! i am sad that i didnt get a good (or any) father's day picture- oh well- i have a million billion from ever other day of the year! jeremy enjoyed his day playing his game (world of warcraft).

on monday- the 16th, it was family night at chic-fil-a - some friends joined us- it was father's day/bob the builder night- and there was a castle building craft that home depot sponsered- but since jeremy was in louisiana (losing our money) for work (and some gambling) he wasnt there to help- he tried the next day when he got home but got frustrated and we ended up having to throw it away.... oh well- but noted to self, do NOT go on family night again- it was SO crowded, and the play area was full of too big kids- who trampled the little ones!

justin and baron with bob the builder (of course jacob was scared of him)

jacob with a hammer- is that safe? ;()
