july 11-12-13 - condo in galveston

We picked up the girls friday on our way to galveston- (they were at reginas) - nana came with us because jeremy had to go to a class in dallas for the day, but we had already reserved the condo for that weekend. Brandon and emily joined us for the day friday- we went shopping and ate on the strand. Later that afternoon, the big kids went swimming- while the boys napped- and Brittany and i took a walk on the beach. we found tons of crabs- eww. we all took an evening stroll on the beach that night- the kids had fun!



















Saturday, jeremy joined us- and he brought stormie- it was her first time to go to the beach and she was SUPER excited!! First, we headed to schlitterbahn- which was a fun, but expensive day! it was me, jeremy, brit, brooke, emily, brandon, justin and jacob- the big kids rode a few slides- and the little ones stayed with me or jeremy - we mostly just rode the lazy river, which is all i wanted to do anyway! at nap time, nana and pawpaw drove down from pearland and took the boys to nap at the condo- the rest of us stayed a few more hours- that evening- nana cooked us dinner and brought cake for brandon's birthday celebration- he got a gift he wanted, but did NOT expect- his own cell phone. HE was excited, but you know how teenaged boys (he turned 14) dont show their excitement as much as drama queen girls do! pawpaw went over the rules on minutes and texting etc- bc the cell phone was a present from nana and pawpaw (and us, but we just contributed to the phone, not the monthly bill). After the 'party', we said our goodbyes and they headed back to pearland- brandon and emily had a flight out the next morning back to chicago.





















Sunday- we relaxed- the kids and i went to the beach, jeremy woudlnt go bc it was 'too hot' and then spent alot of time at the pool- we even convinced grouchy dad to join us- he didnt want any more sun bc he got a little burned at schlitterbahn bc he wouldnt put sunscreen on anywhere but his shoulders and nose- but we convinced him to join us at the pool bc there were umbrellas in the tanning ledge of the pool. Justin practiced swimming with (to) brooke and was doing awesome! brittany spent most of the time texting people as usual... what did we do before texting? we left later that afternoon and headed back to pearland. Jeremy dropped the girls off at reginas on the way back... i took the boys for naps. that night, i had dinner with some friends at los cucos- but it wasnt as good as normal... oh well!































i know this is a very boring post but i am just logging it for my own sake.. ha! and pps- i know there are tons of pictures, but in my mind, you can never take too many pictures! :)
