"where do babies come from?"

we were looking through a company kids catalog i got in the mail, and justin saw some babydolls.  he says 'mom, we should get one of those for my sis.... ' stopped mid sentence, realizing his sisters were too old and said- mom, can we have a baby sister?'  i said 'um, i dont know about that- you'll have to talk to your dad'

and then, the question that i shouldnt have to answer to my boys until years from now  ..

"well, where do babies come from?"

me: "well, god puts the babies in the mommy's tummy, and then the doctors take them out at the hospital, remember when they cut mommy's tummy to take jacob out?"

J: "ya, well, how does god know whose tummy to put the baby in?"

me: " i am not sure, you'll have to ask your dad if he knows"  lol

J: "well can we tell god we need a baby sister?"

me:  "well i dont know about that- that means you'd have to share your toys with even more people, and you'd get less attention"

J: "i know, that's okay, i need a baby sister-  (turns to jacob) "jacob, do you want a baby sister?"

jacob in his normal drawn out : "yeeeeeeeeessss"

NICE!

then, last night, he said 'mom, do you know that when we were babies we were as little as a seed? and then we grew?"  i asked him how he knew that and he said daddy told him- so apparently he has been asking daddy about having a baby, too :)

let's start working on that... KIDDING!
