July 14-19 (grandma bird and grandpa came to visit)

Jake has been practicing wearing big boy underwear sometimes at nana's house- he has pooped in the potty a few times, but no peeing- we arent actively potty training yet- but just introducing him to the idea/concept..justin had a sock obsession this week- wearing strange socks with his clothes..



on July 17th and 18th and 21st i was off work- my mom and dad came to visit, and they stayed for jacob's birthday (party)- they have never been in town for one of the boys parties- so it was extra special.. on the 17th, the boys and i went to meet jacob's teacher (who we already knew bc she was also justin's teacher when he was two in the tadpoles class)... jacob had fun playing with the trains while they told me stuff i already knew ha! but, when justin started preschool, he was 2.5 and already potty trained- with jacob, he just turned two, and is not potty trained- so this time i have to send 4 diapers with his name on them every day... after we met the teacher, we headed to bellaire to play with kevin and carter- the boys had a blast, as usual- after that, we headed to the airport to pick up grandma and grandpa- they boys were super excited to see them! you see, i should not wait this long to update my blog bc now i cant remember what we did- oh we went to HEB and academy, got hair cuts- and then, i know that evening, we went to the park and the boys played and i did some boot camp stuff on the benches- and justin joined me for some of it...



on friday- we for once, did not have plans- usually we head to the zoo or children's museum, but i wanted to not be busy the whole day- which, of course, we were anyway- we went to walmart to get more plates/utensils for the party- we ordered jacob's cake at target (he finally decided on transformers, bc it came with a transformer on it- and he likes everything his brother likes, and justin likes transformers!) after naps, we headed to michele's house so my parents could see her parents- the boys played for a bit with caleb, and i met sweet baby blake! After that, we headed to dinner at johnny carinos with some of my mom/dad friends from clear lake- usually the wait there is not bad, but it was LONG and we were there FOREVER, esp with all the talking those old people do (ahahah).. but the boys did well, they were behaved... my little angels (hahaha).. brooke was still at reginas (she kept them for july) but brittany was at the lake with lizzie for her 16th birthday- she came back to our house sunday for jacob's party- and then went to a baseball game with izzy and his family on monday- and back to reginas on wednesday...

sat AM i went to bootcamp- when i got home, aunt marsha came over- we went to do a little shopping and to pick up jacob's cake... saturday evening, we took aunt marsha for her birthday dinner- we went to saltgrass steak house- and sang her happy birthday- she had fun, and got a free cheesecake- yum! Justin showed grandma and grandpa how he plays world of warcraft- he is so proud and that's all he could talk about was how he wanted to show them how he plays the game...

sunday was jacob's 2nd birthday! see my next post- but after the party, we had dinner with my aunt, uncle, cousin and his wife- and aunt marsha , kay and jerry and the family minus brooke- at cici's (gag)... it was an easy fast place for all those people! my cousin-in-law is pregnant with a baby boy, she looks great!
