July 4th

July 4th was fun for us- we got up early to head to galveston because jeremy thought he had to move a bucket truck from one parking lot to another- we drive all the way down there and find out it was already moved. jeremy didnt think to call FIRST...oh well- he had promised the boys they could play in the sand for a little bit- but did not plan to let them go in the water- well, that only lasted mabye 5 mintues- of course they wanted to get dirty and wet so they did- with clothes and undies and diapers- no swimsuits! jacob had never been to the beach so he was a little hesitant and would not let go of our hands (i guess that's a good thing!) they had a blast and used their super cute buckets that katherine's talented sister made for them last year..

on the way home, we saw what looked to us to be a tornado forming- freaky! once we got home it poured! the boys napped and then we headed over to nana and pawpaws for dinner and fireworks.

Brandon and emily were still in town- and the girls were now in dallas with regina and gran grand... but justin and jacob had a blast with their cousins-

after dinner, we tried to watch fireworks in the culdesac, and we did see a bunch- meanwhile nana and jeremy went to buy sparklers, and by the time they were getting back, we (pawpaw brandon emily justin jacob and myself) were already walking towards the end of the street to see if we coudl see better- so daddy picked us all up in his truck and we rode in the back down a back road to a dead end where we had a great view- justin thought it was THE coolest thing ever to ride in the back of the truck. jacob sat inside with nana and daddy... when we got back to nanas, we did sparklers- well, i didnt, bc i hate fire and am parnoid- jacob was pretty scared, too- but everyone else enjoyed them- see below-

kids- do NOT try this at home!!
