dec 14-21

I ran the jingle jog 5 miler dec 14 with a friend- i ended up doing better than expected. i was not trying to run super fast, just trying to run steady- but i get bored and feel like certain people who are in front of- or are passing me should not be- so i push myself to go faster- so- i was 218 overall and 12th in my age group- not too bad..

on december 15th, i went to teach justin's pre-school class about hanukkah. His teacher asked me if i would be interested and i said well, i dont know! and she said =well we used to have a dad who did it, but his daugther is in school now- he even wore a cape with a big H on it. i will even supply the cape for you! (she was kidding)- i was like um.... okay! but i dont want a cape! hehe. so, i ordered some hanukkah sticker activities from oriental trading, and got some dreidels and gelt for each kid from party city and brought in a menorah and candles. the kids actually already knew about hanukkah- they had learned about it last year, and talked a little about it before i came. but, i tried not to be too boring while i explained it to them and asked them questions.

when we were in elementary school, my mom used to go to our (my sister and i) classes and teach about hanukkah, so i guess i will continue that tradition! she should be proud- haha!

  1. Congratulations on the run, that is great.

I think it is neat that you went and shared about your background with his class.
