This year, due to Uncle Willard's passing so close to Thanksgiving, everyone decided it would be easier to have their own thanksgiving than to try to get everyone together and ready for a cheerful thanksgiving. So, bc of the last minute decision, our family headed to Luby's for thanksgiving brunch- izzy came with us because he was going to go to the turner thanksgiving before it was cancelled to meet some of the family-
and then from there, izzy rode home with the in laws, and the rest of us headed to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where we go every year from the Turner thanksgiving- to be with my grandparents, parents, aunt and usually sister and her son. However, this year, my sister had newborn and her husband is the wrestling coach at the high school where he works, so he had practice the next day, and so Lisa did not want to fly to Louisiana with a new baby and her 3 year old by herself. We missed her and were sad we didnt get to meet baby emma!
anyway- thanksgiving was good- good to see the family- papa lou, as you might have read from my birthday post to him- he is not able to eat- so he could not enjoy thanksigiving meal with us- but he did say the prayer- and did a great job at it . The boys did a great job with papa lou- he was full of smiles the entire time we were there. I was going to plan a trip to visit them this weekend for MLK weekend, but brittany has a drill team competition on saturday, so we'll have to go another weekend.
We stayed in the cook hotel- which is the hotel on the LSU campus. we get a suite, and it is really nice. the kids love staying in the hotel- all 4 of them. aruguing over pushing the elevator buttons, swiping the card for the door, etc. now it's not just britt and brooke but justin wants to do it all, too!
and here's the boys being silly on the car ride home
and here's the family minus jeremy, who took the pic - i posted this pic on papa lou's birthday post already..
Love the pictures of Justin with Papa Lou, that is so sweet.
